A company that performs automotive refinishing was using a paint spray booth, which needed to be registered with the Environmental Activity and Sector Registry. MOE officers conducted inspections of the site and determined that the paint spray booth wasn’t registered. Subsequently, the company pleaded guilty to one violation of the Environmental Protection Act and was fined $6,000. A company director also pleaded guilty to one offence and was fined $2,000 [2172936 Ontario Ltd. and Angelo Salciccioli, Govt. News Release, July 19, 2016].
