Across Canada, Ministries of Labour are pushing stronger enforcement regimes. A major component of this thrust is an increasing volume of inspections. While some inspections result from complaints, increasingly, employers are being subject to random, unannounced inspections.

Even the most safety conscious and diligent employer must be prepared to properly respond to a workplace inspection. This webinar will cover what every employer should know when dealing with such an inspection:

- What grounds are required for the Ministry to initiate an inspection
- How to prepare your workplace to be ready for a workplace inspection
- Dealing with production requests
- Dealing with orders, including appeals, suspensions and their potential consequences
- Being aware of when an inspection becomes an investigation and the consequences thereof
- The use of inspections in regulatory prosecutions
- Protecting employer and employee rights without committing obstruction of justice
