An OHS Officer observed 11 workers on an elevated platform at a worksite working in violation of safety laws. A company pleaded guilty to failing to ensure that workers used a fall protection system where required, to provide and/or require a worker to use appropriate protective headwear and to ensure that all work at a place of employment was sufficiently and competently supervised. It was fined $2,240 [Able Eavestroughing Ltd., Govt. News Release, Dec. 23, 2013].
