    Can we ask a subcontractor do be an employee member of our B.C. Health and Safety Committee’ We need another employee-level member.  The person works at our office, but is a subcontractor (so not our employee).  We put the call out to our employees, but so far nobody has volunteered (we\’ll try that again), but in the meantime, curious is we can ask this subcontractor if they\’re willing to help out.

    No, can’t be a subcontractor. Needs to be an employee. Keep trying to get the employees to step up. If they don’t, I’d suggest calling WorkSafeBC and asking them for advice. It’s a pretty strange situation. . .
