ATV Health and Safety Training

We are in need of training employees on how to properly operate an ATV at some of our sites.  I have gotten information from two trainers in Ontario on a Canadian Safety Council Standard and a CASA standard for ATV training.  We are federally regulated company.  Can you tell me which standard is best for the safe operation of an ATV?

First, neither federal nor Ontario regulations specify an ATV training standard. So, you are free to choose between the two. Regrettably, I’m completely unqualified to recommend any particular standard let alone judge which one is better than the other. What I CAN DO, however, is run it past the OHSI users. Specifically, I can have my colleagues set up a user poll/survey. We’ve done this a few times before and I think it would work really nicely in your situation. So, let me know if you’re interested.
