    Forklift certification – we have a train the trainer on staff who has completed the theory portion of our training. Are we required to use this individual to complete the practical evaluation’ Or can I assign a trained, experienced forklift operator to complete the practical evaluation for todays class?

    According to the OHS training guidelines, the trainee must be able to demonstrate “to a designated skilled and experienced person” that he/she has learned “the skills and knowledge
    identified as final outcomes for operator competency.” Based on that language, I think the answer to your question is YES. But you should read the Guidelines yourself just to make sure everything’s OK with your situation.
