I understand that new racking systems need to have a pre start safety review signed off by an engineer, I am wondering about older racking systems, are they grandfathered or will they need a PSR as well’
    Thanks!

The current rule (Sec. 7(7) of the Ind. Establishments Reg.) is that a PSR isn’t required if a “rack or stacking structure is designed and tested for use in accordance with current applicable standards.” PSR would also be required if such equipment is modified. There are no grandfathered dates. But I’m a little confused. Your Q implies that the rules are changing. I track MOL and Ontario Gazette diligently and I haven’t seen any reference to any PSR changes for racking. Did I miss something’ If so, can u please point me in the right direction so I can answer your Q and notify my users’ Guess it wouldn’t be the first time one got past the goalie. . . Thanks so much for asking this Q. If there is, in fact, a change, I’m going to officially designate YOU as “the Expert.” Glenn
