    Absolutely not.
    First of all, workers may not see, pay attention to, heed or understand the sign.
    Second, even if they could, the “Lifeguard Not On Duty: Swim At Your Own Risk” is NOT acceptable for OHS hazards, especially engineering related ones.
    Bottom Line: You need to take the machine out of operation until the switch is fixed.
