Confined Spaces

Confined spaces are enclosed or partially enclosed areas with limited entry and exit points, not designed for continuous occupancy but where workers might need to enter to perform tasks. These spaces can include tanks, vessels, storage bins, or underground vaults. They pose significant hazards due to limited ventilation, potentially toxic atmospheres, or the presence of flammable materials, which can lead to asphyxiation, poisoning, or fires. Other risks include engulfment, entrapment, and hazardous conditions due to the confined nature, making it crucial for workers to undergo specialized training and safety measures before entering such spaces.
