Hello, We are a non-unionized workplace in Manitoba, looking to hire someone in a remote position in BC. I recognize that we must follow employment standards in BC for this employee. In our employment contract, in the provision to terminate without Just Cause, we have written " After the conclusion of the Probationary Period, X Company may terminate this Agreement and your employment pursuant to this Agreement at any time without cause upon providing you with written notice of termination (or pay in lieu thereof or any combination of notice and pay in lieu thereof) as stated under The Employment Standards Code (Manitoba) or similar or success legislation." Can we leave the reference to Manitoba Employment Standards Code, recognizing we follow with "or similar" or would it be best practice to change all references the the Employment Standards Code (Manitoba) to Employment Standards Code (British Columbia) for this individual?
