Young Worker’s Injuries Result in $5,000 Fine & $85,000 for Online Safety Course

A young labourer fell over nine metres from the roof of a commercial building under construction and sustained multiple fractures and other serious injuries. His employer pleaded guilty to failing to ensure that a worker was protected from falling at a temporary or permanent work area if he may fall a vertical distance of three meters or more.
