Waste Processing Company & President Fined More than $1.5 Million

An approved waste disposal processing facility and the company’s president were convicted in 2015 of five offences for non-compliance with a Court Order under the Environmental Protection Act. As a part of this conviction, they were issued a Court Order requiring them to do eight things, including remove and dispose of all waste at the site. Ministry staff conducted seven site inspections, confirming that they hadn’t complied with the order by the respective deadlines.
