Two Companies & Owner Charged in Worker’s Fatal Fall

A worker was working on the roof of a four-storey complex when he fell from the edge and died. As a result, a company was charged with eight OHS violations, including failing to ensure proper roof brackets and planks are installed as work progresses on a roof and to ensure workers are wearing or using fall-protection equipment. The company’s owner was also charged with two safety offences.
