I was wondering about storage requirements for propane tanks, O2 tanks, Nitrogen tanks that are stored in ventilated closets in a hanger facility. Do I need to have signs of the DG on the doors inside and out? and what other requirements would I have to get.
You need to check the OHS regulations in your specific jurisdiction for the storage and other requirements for each type of tank, as the requirements may vary depending on the contents of the tank. Also, make sure to check the WHMIS requirements. Because of your “DG” reference, which I presume means “dangerous goods,” note that the TDGA requirements wouldn’t apply to the storage of such tanks; the TDGA and its regulations only apply to so-called dangerous goods while they’re in transit, not when they’re being stored.
