March: Alberta finally issued the training standards and list of approved providers for required training of workplace health and safety committee co-chairs and/or health and safety representatives under Bill 30. Highlights:
- Part 1: Prerequisite course of 2 hours providing general overview of workplace rights and duties and committee and representative roles
- Part 2: Training course of 6 to 8 hours delivered by designated trainer providing details about committee and representative functions, including meetings, inspections, work refusals and incident investigations.
