Three Separate Incidents Result in $9,120 Fine for Roofing Company

A roofing company pleaded guilty to six violations of the OHS Act for failing to utilize a fall protection system, use appropriate footwear, use appropriate protective headwear and ensure a portable ladder was secured during use. The charges are related to three separate incidents. In the first incident, an Occupational Health Officer saw workers working on a roof with no fall protection, inappropriate footwear and headwear and using a non-compliant portable ladder.
