Supervisor and Roofing Company Fined for Safety Violations

As a result of an inspection by an OHS officer of a residential construction site, a roofing company pleaded guilty to four OHS violations and was fined $3,890. The violations included failing to ensure that workers used a fall protection system at a temporary work area, that workers were trained in the safe use of a fall protection system and that a worker uses appropriate footwear.
