Every year in BC, 9,000 young people are injured at work — and 2,000 of these injuries are considered serious. And in 2012, seven young workers died in a workplace incident. So the government reminded employers of the top 7 dangers for young workers:

  1. Lifting objects
  2. Working on elevated levels
  3. Working with knives
  4. Working with hot substances and objects
  5. Operating mobile equipment or motor vehicles
  6. Working with food slicers
  7. Working near running equipment or machinery.
