To protest the alleged underfunding of workers’ comp and put a spotlight on the plight of Ontario workers with permanent disabilities, injured workers occupied the offices of six politicians, including that of Premier Dalton McGuinty. The sit-ins were organized by the Ontario Federation of Labour. OFL president Sid Ryan said they were meant to draw attention to WSIB practices that he says leave injured workers without enough money on which to live.
