The government released a discussion paper on the conditions that face people who work for temporary employment agencies, including workplace practices, access to information on workers’ rights and other concerns. For example, because of the lack of employment stability, temporary workers may be reluctant to exercise their rights for fear of fewer assignments or dismissal. The discussion paper is available at http://gov.ns.ca/lwd/. Comments on it can be provided by e-mail, fax, written submission or by phone until June 30.
