OHS Panel Upholds Safety Footwear Order But Allows Deviation Application


After an OHS inspector determined that stockroom workers were at risk of foot injuries, he ordered the store to ensure that workers wore CSA-approved safety footwear. The store appealed the order, arguing that workers were provided slip-on toe caps that provided adequate protection. The OHS panel upheld the order.
