Nov. 28: Study on Whole Body Vibration Released

The IRSST published a study on whole body vibration (WBV) exposure of workers, particularly those operating soil compactors. The study found most compactors used in Québec lack suspension seats. The study’s results suggest that the use of an adequately tuned suspension seat is critical for limiting the WBV exposure, particularly for the 10-ton machine, the most commonly used.
