July 1: New WorkSafeBC Policy on ‘Work-Related’ Takes Effect

In Oct. 2007, the Board of Directors approved changes to policies on the determination of whether a worker’s injury or death is “work-related”—that is, whether it arises out of and in the course of employment. As a result, policy items #12.00 through #24.00 inclusively have been replaced with items C3-12.00 through C3-23.30 and policy item #34.55. The new policies take effect July 1, 2010.
