The lumber broke and one of the workers stumbled forward and tripped, suffering a fracture to one leg. At trial, the company was found guilty of failing to ensure that material or equipment at a project is stored and moved in a manner that doesn’t endanger a worker and was fined $70,000 [Avenue Building Corp., Govt.
