A 23-year-old man had worked at a fruit farm for the summer. His work there was done but he was still tenting on the property until his planned departure. On the morning of Sept. 26, 2014, a full-time farm worker found the body of the temporary worker at the base of a six-metre high pile of stacked fruit crates. Based on the preliminary investigation, he was climbing the stack when the top crate came loose, causing him to fall. The BC Coroners Service and RCMP are investigating.
