Roofing Company Fined $5,760 for 16 Safety Violations


After three inspections by safety officials, a roofing company was charged with numerous safety violations, including failure to provide and require workers to use protective headwear and appropriate footwear; use a fall protection system; ensure the safe use of ladders; ensure all work was sufficiently and competently supervised; and develop and implement a written fall protection plan. The company pleaded guilty to 16 OHS violations and was fined a total of $5,760. All 13 charges against a supervisor were dropped [Pro Image Roofing and Gutters Ltd., Govt.
