Ontario’s ombudsman is launching a probe into how the province monitors drivers who may be a danger on the roads due to uncontrolled hypoglycemia, or low blood sugar, after a driver went into diabetic shock and caused a crash that killed three people. Ontario requires medical professionals to report drivers who have uncontrolled hypoglycemia to the Transportation Ministry so they can be assessed.
