The Transportation Safety Board of Canada’s modernized occurrence reporting requirements in Part I of the Transportation Safety Board Regulations took effect on July 1, 2014. They introduce additional requirements for railways and lighter aircraft, and for the release of dangerous goods. The Regulations also modernize and introduce definitions that are harmonized with other federal laws, international agreements and standards, and clarify provisions that had been subject to interpretation.
