Employer Fined $60,000 for Ladder Incident


Two workers were attempting to mount a boat onto a wall display while standing on stepladders. When one of the ladders tipped, a worker fell off and suffered broken bones. The employer pleaded guilty to failing to ensure that the boat was lifted, carried or moved in a way that didn’t endanger the safety of a worker. Its fine: $60,000 [Paul S.
