Dec. 18: IWH Study Found Work-Related Injury Rates Fell by 30%

According to a study by the Institute for Work & Health, work-related injury rates in Ontario fell by 30% from 2004 to 2011, while non-work injury rates didn’t change. The researchers looked at the record of all emergency department visits and a series of health interview surveys conducted by Statistics Canada. One possible reason for the diverging trends between work-related and non-work-related injuries is the level of investment in injury prevention.
