Aug. 25: Polar Bears Complicate Investigation of Plane Crash

A charter jetliner carrying 15 people crashed into a hill while approaching the runway in Resolute Bay, killing 12 people. The RCMP is doing a site survey and will hand control of the site over to the Transportation Safety Board when the survey is done. But two polar bears have been spotted up on a ridge near the crash site and rangers are trying to keep them away from the goods on the ground.
