Roofing Contractor Fined $3,500 for PPE Violations

The government conducted a complaint-based inspection in which workers were seen working on a two-storey structure without any fall protection equipment. As a result, the roofing contractor pleaded guilty to failing to ensure that workers wear approved industrial protective headwear and use a fall protection system at a work area where they may fall three metres or more.
