Roofing Company Fined $85,000 for Worker’s Fall

The worker who was part of a four-worker crew was applying additional roofing and insulation material to the roof of a fire hall when he fell and suffered serious injuries. The roofing company pleaded guilty to failing to ensure, as far as reasonably practicable, the health and safety of a worker and was fined $85,000 [Cee Cee Roofing, Govt. News Release, Oct. 15, 2012].
