Roofing Company Fined $20,000 after Worker Is Struck by Garbage Chute

A worker sustained serious injuries as a result of being impacted by a garbage chute. A roofing company pleaded guilty to failing to ensure the provision and maintenance of plant, systems of work and working environments that ensure, as far as reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare at work of its workers.
