Oct. 3: Leaks Cause Evacuation of Trucking Company

A Winnipeg trucking company had to be evacuated twice in separate incidents involving dangerous leaks. Hazmat teams went into the workplace after a call that R12 refrigerant was leaking from pressurized cylinders. A second call for leaking cylinders at the same location came in later that day. The hazmat teams were able to stop the leaking gas and restore air quality. No one was injured. The cause of the leaks is under investigation.
