North American Occupational Safety and Health (NAOSH) Week is May 5-11, 2013. The goal of this week is to focus the attention of employers, workers, the general public and all stakeholders in occupational safety and health on the importance of preventing injury and illness in the workplace, at home and in the community. The slogan is Safety and Health: A Commitment for Life and this year’s theme is ‘How Safe Are You!’
HOW TO USE THE TOOL
Use this checklist during NAOSH Week to conduct a quick audit of your OHS program and safety culture. Post the results in the workplace to demonstrate the company’s commitment to workplace safety. If the audit identifies any gaps, make sure you take steps to address them.
