Safety Policy for Construction Work in Compressed Air

This Policy applies to work at any project performed at an ABC Company worksite where a worker performs work operations in a compressed air environment, other than work by divers or persons working in diving bells, which will be covered by a separate OHS policy. The intent of this Policy is to ensure that all such workers receive the required health and safety protection regardless of who pays or employs those workers, including:

• Full- or part-time workers employed by ABC Company;
• Temporary employees placed by an outside agency to work at an ABC Company work site;
• Contract labourers engaged to perform work at an ABC Company work site; and
• Workers employed by constructors or prime contractors (‘constructors’), contractors, and subcontractors to perform work at the site under a contract with ABC Company.
