Mining Company Fined $61,000 for Conveyor Incident

A mining company worker’s leg was crushed by a conveyor. The company pleaded guilty to violating The Mines Regulations, 2003 by failing to ensure that all equipment used at the mine was designed, constructed, installed, maintained and operated to safely perform any task for which the equipment was used.
