Merchant Fined $45,000 for Importing Non-Compliant Equipment

A gas-powered equipment merchant imported more than 2,300 engines or pieces of equipment without being able to substantiate that they conformed with established emissions standards. He pleaded guilty to four violations of CEPA 1999 and the Off-Road Small Spark-Ignition Engine Emission Regulations.
