Mentor Program Policy
Before you use this tool, you may want to read the further analysis presented here.
Workers who are new to the workplace and those who are under age 25 are the most vulnerable to injury on the job. Their lack of experience and reluctance to ask questions contribute to their vulnerability. Assigning each new and young worker a more experienced mentor is one of the things you can do to better protect them.
HOW TO USE THE TOOL
Adapt this model policy for your workplace’s mentor program. Make sure that all workers and supervisors are aware of the program and how it works.
