May 29: Arrests Made in Assaults on Addiction Clinic Workers

The RCMP have arrested three teenage suspects in the assaults of two workers at an addictions centre north of Winnipeg. One worker, a 23-year-old work placement student, suffered a fractured skull, broken teeth and blindness in her left eye. The other worker has extensive damage to her face, jaw and eye. Three teens have been arrested and charged with aggravated assault and robbery. The government is also conducting a workplace safety investigation into the attack.
