Chain Must Assess Risk of Violence in All Stores—Not Just a Sample

To comply with violence risk assessment requirements, a national chain of office supply stores conducted assessments of a sampling of stores. But when a store that was not part of the sampling was inspected and found not to have conducted a violence risk assessment, it was ordered to pay a $500 administrative penalty. The Panel confirmed the penalty, ruling that the regulation required each workplace to conduct a risk assessment.
