Sept. 13: Province Signs Climate Change Declaration
The government signed the Jalisco Climate Change Declaration. The Declaration, which was signed by 19 subnational government organizations, provides guiding actions for jurisdictions on how to combat climate change. It includes an aim for governments to:
- Procure up to 100% renewable power for their operations by 2050
- Develop laws to support reductions in GHG emissions
- Commit to public reporting on progress in addressing climate change.
