July: The Advisory Committee wants more time to review the occupational exposure limits for contaminants listed in Annex 1 of the Regulations. So CNESST has pushed back close of the review period to Oct. 31, 2017. The contaminants in question are those that have OELs based on levels differing from ACGIH exposure values and ratings.
June 26: The federal government and Québec announced plans to jointly invest $57.5 million for St. Lawrence River conservation initiatives over the next 5 years. The new program will support 38 joint projects designed to protect the area’s water quality, biodiversity and sustainable use.
