Dec. 5: Manitoba’s newly proposed cannabis legalization plan calls for a hybrid public- and private sector cannabis retail and distribution system. A separate measure, Bill 25 (aka, The Cannabis Harm Prevention Act), would impose tough new penalties for cannabis-impaired driving and ban use of cannabis in enclosed public place. However, it doesn’t list specific ground rules for smoking and vaping legal cannabis at work.
Dec. 31: That was the informal deadline for the Advisory Council on Workplace Safety and Health conducting legislatively mandated 5-year review of the OHS laws to issue its recommendations. We’ll keep you apprised.
