Workers’ Compensation Rates
Jan.: The 2018 average assessment rate will be $1.60 per $100 of payroll, a 10% cut from last year. Rates are going down for all but one group: 402 – Construction & Construction Related Services (+9¢).
Dec. 20: That’s the deadline to comment on a WCB proposal to loosen up the definition of what constitutes “impairment” under Sec. 1(1)(n) of the Workers’ Compensation Act to encompass not just physical but psychological conditions like PTSD as well as ongoing symptoms like chronic pain:
