During March 2012, MOL inspectors conducted a blitz of construction projects, focusing on health and safety in high-rise formwork, low-rise formwork, masonry, siding and built-up roofing work. Inspectors checked on compliance with the OHS laws, focusing on hazards that can lead to falls from heights, slips on debris-covered surfaces and other hazards. Overall, they conducted 671 visits to 614 workplaces and issued 1,707 orders, including 151 stop work orders.
