A landslide caused a freight train carrying diesel fuel to derail and partly fall into the Moisie River. Its conductor is missing. The train’s lead locomotive had a capacity of 15,000 litres, but it’s unclear how many litres it contained at the time of the incident. A government spokesman didn’t know how much diesel was in the river, although he said oil extended for about 20 km out from shore.
