Nov. 2: Government Encourages Residents to Get Flu Shots
BC’s Health Minister and a provincial health officer got their flu shots to demonstrate the importance of getting vaccinated. Clinics are now open throughout the province. This year marks the first year in which all healthcare workers in BC are required to either get vaccinated or wear a mask for the duration of flu season. Flu shots are provided free of charge to all residents who are at risk of developing complications or who have close contact with at-risk individuals. Others can pay a small fee for the vaccine.
