The Final Report on a review of both employment standards and labour relations laws was released. It contains more than 170 recommendations, including the following that impact workplace safety:
- The consolidation of the Employment Standards Act, 2000, the Labour Relations Act, 1995, and OHS Act into a single Act
- In the context of workplace safety for temps, all aspects of the risk and liability, including the responsibility for workplace injuries, should be with the client employer and not the temp agency.
